Welcome to "The Toad!" We gave this charming 100-year-old cottage a new hip...  We renovated this neglected and adorable cottage almost every single weekend for over a year and a half together. This little place is our pride and joy and the only thing we love more about it is the opportunity to give others a really good experience when they come to Mathews.  

 

We tried our best to create a young and funky, but still luxurious space for you to experience everything we love about our small town.  We are available to answer any questions, make recommendations, and can let you know where to find live music, a cold beer, or a yummy bite while you stay with us. Yes, we named this home after a weird fish, for reasons you will have to find out when you book your stay!

P.S. You'll see for yourself, we love plants because they are hygge & home. During hot and dry months we may ask your permission to quickly come water plants to ensure they stay alive if the temperatures are high.
